Born and raised in Ukraine, my love for art started in childhood. It was my way of exploring the world, asking questions, and letting my imagination roam free. As I grew up, I also pursued studies in business and marketing — curious about how ideas connect with people and how creativity can make a real impact.

Adulthood, however, comes with its own demands — no time, competing priorities, bills to pay, families to manage. Like many of us, I gradually forgot this playful, curious part of myself.
In the years that followed, I focused on building my career. As I achieved milestones and grew professionally, I noticed that the little girl inside me — the one who just wanted to create, experiment, and play — was still there, quietly nudging me to remember her.

Little by little, day by day, I began to step back into that part of me, exploring, creating, and rediscovering the joy of making. It was a journey of self-discovery, small steps at a time, guided by curiosity and a desire to reconnect with what truly lights me up.

In the years leading up to 2022, I dove back into the world of art — relearning old skills, exploring new techniques, and letting creativity guide me. I shared my work in some of Canada’s biggest art shows, connected with collectors around the world, and began to discover the joy of building a community of fellow makers who inspire and challenge each other.

Arting Around grew from this journey — a dream to create a place where creativity, self-expression, and community meet. A studio that feels like a sanctuary, where everyone can explore, experiment, and play without judgment.

As an immigrant navigating a new country, I know how hard it can be to find your people. Through art, I found a universal language — a bridge that connects hearts, sparks conversation, and nurtures belonging. In our studio, art is more than making beautiful things; it’s a way to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and feel part of something larger. Arting Around is a space to be curious, to make mistakes, to celebrate small victories, and to create alongside others who are on their own creative journeys.
